Scott DuBose

Scott DuBose grew up on Chicago's South Side and spent his childhood going back and forth to southern Mississippi, where his father's family is from, just south of Hattiesburg. Living between the two gave him a feel for both city and country life, and you can hear both when he sings. His first inspiration was the house band at the Lake-n-Park Inn, a famous South Side honky-tonk. He started out on stage as an actor after training at the Second City Training Center. While doing theater around Chicago he formed his first band, often racing across town from one show to the next. And for more than 20 years, Scott has toured the country with his backing band, The 101 Ranch.
